Behind the Scenes: How Our Leather Patch Hats Are Made

At Keeko Designs, every leather patch hat is made with hands-on care, creativity, and craftsmanship. Whether you’re rocking one of our signature designs or something totally custom, here’s a peek into how we bring each hat to life—step by step.

🖥️ Step 1: Design Meets Laser Precision

We start by prepping your design digitally. Whether it's a rustic American flag, a bold outdoors logo, or a custom order, we scale and position it perfectly for the patch.

Once it's ready, we fire up our laser engraver to etch the design onto a durable leatherette patch—a vegan-friendly, long-lasting alternative to leather that engraves beautifully.

🔥 Step 2: Patch Engraving

This is the fun part—watching the laser burn your design into the patch with perfect detail. Each one is engraved with care, ensuring clean lines and bold contrast.

We use leatherette colors that pop when engraved—like gunmetal gray, rustic brown, or jet black—making every patch unique and eye-catching.

🧢 Step 3: Hat Press Time

Once the patch is engraved, we move over to the hat press. Using just the right amount of heat and pressure, we bond the patch to the front of the hat for a firm, professional hold.

No peeling, no shifting—just a solid finish that’s ready for anything from trails to tailgates.

✋ Step 4: Final Check & Shipping

Every hat goes through a final quality check—making sure the patch is centered, secure, and flawless. Then it’s packaged with care and shipped straight to you.

Whether it’s a gift, a statement piece, or your new go-to hat, we want it to feel custom-made—because it is.

Why We Love the Process

This isn’t just a product—it’s a process. From idea to finished hat, we love every part of bringing your vision to life. Thanks for supporting Keeko Designs and letting us make something truly special for you.
